Physical Appearance:

Lavender is a rather skinny girl. She prides herself on her appearance, and takes good care of herself. It takes her at least an hour to get ready in the morning because she has to look absolutely perfect. Or she would even dare stepping outside of the dormitory. She has thin limbs, and very few muscles to speak of. She has long, luxurious dark hair, that often curls. She loves leaving her hair down, for the sheer fact that her glossy tresses have been what has attracted the males most often. It's so shiny, who can blame them? She has dark brown eyes, and desperately, desperately wishes they were some pretty colour. Green. Green would be good. What she wouldn't give to have green eyes.

History:

Lavender is the middle child of her parents, Basil and Silvia Brown. She has an older sister Sally, and a younger brother Jim. Naturally, she wishes her parents had been a little less creative with her own name. She's resentful of her siblings for having normal names. Who's name is Lavender anyway? That's the name of a flower! Honestly.

She grew up in a typical pureblooded household, magic being second nature to her really. Also, she was raised to worship the name Harry Potter. She always thought he must have been some really great wizard. But meeting him, and taking classes with him has disillusioned her quite a bit. But she manages.

It came as no surprise to her when she got her Hogwarts letter. She was really rather pleased with herself, actually. At school she formed a friendship with Parvati Patil and the two are rarely seen seperately. They took quite a liking to Divination in 3rd year. Lavender feels that Professor Trelawny is really quite a brilliant witch. She just wishes she was better at the subject, to be honest.

Personality:

Lavender has something of a difficult personality. She can be quite pompous when she wants to be. But she can also be caring if the times call for it. She's genial for the most part, wanting to get along with everyone. Especially boys. Boys are something she can't get enough of. After her relationship with Ron ended rather abruptly, (how did that go wrong anyhow? what had she done?), she became a bit of a recluse. But over the summer she had time to think, and figured it was Ron's loss. She was brilliant. And other boys would see that.

Somewhat obsessed with her appearance, Lavender could spend hours flipping through girly magazines, looking at the newest clothe styles or hairdos. She loves everything related to fashion, and secretly hopes she might be able to go into it when she graduates. But what with the war raging around her, she might settle for something of a bit more practical nature. Not everyone can be a model, and being in Dumbledore's Army in fifth year opened her eyes a little bit. Maybe she could.. help for awhile. And then when Harry finally killed the bugger she could go into the fashion industry. It sounded reasonable enough to her.
